When I was an art student, I was captivated by works that unfolded in double readings, those where the true meaning clashed with first appearances.

 

Can we contemplate beauty in an image, or even at the heart of a tragedy?

 

Global warming and its consequences are troubling the whole world.

 

Thus was born my "Sisters of Seas" series: elegant, serene ladies, lost in a tranquil ocean. They wait to be rescued, trapped in their vehicles, frozen by global warming, powerless against the inexorable rise in water levels.
